SUPER LASER TATTOO REMOVAL. THE NEXT GENERATION
WITH BREAKTHROUGH PICOSECOND TECHNOLOGY.
Our Picosecond Laser is the very latest 'Medical Grade' Laser Tattoo Removal system. Unlike older Q-Switched lasers, our Picosecond Laser delivers pressure waves that are 1000 times shorter, reducing heat accumulation making the tattoo removal process much less painful. Moreover, the rapid energy pulses break the ink into much smaller particles that can be more easily eliminated by the body so you’ll need far fewer sessions to remove your unwanted tattoos.
How can OUR PicoSECOND LASER TATTOO REMOVAL SYSTEM achieve better clearance in 75% less time?
Whilst conventional laser tattoo removal often requires between 10 and 18 sessions to achieve good clearance, picosecond laser machines can remove your tattoo more completely far few sessions.
How is this possible? Traditional laser tattoo removal machines heat the ink in your tattoo breaking it into small ‘pieces’, but the impact from Picosecond lasers shatters the ink into minuscule particles – these are more easily disposed of by your body resulting in better clearance.
The illustration to the right gives you an example of the difference between Q-Switch & Pico laser tattoo removal systems.
HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED WITH A PICOSECOND LASER?
Due to the unique way the Picosecond laser systems ‘shatters’ the ink on your skin, you’ll need far fewer sessions. As a guide clients typically need between 4 – 6 sessions using the Picosecond lasers where as with traditional q-switched laser tattoo removal machines clients would take on average 10 – 20 sessions.

This is dependent on two key aspects – the size of your tattoo and the type of tattoo. A larger professional tattoo will require more sessions than a smaller amateur tattoo, and the sessions will last longer too. A typical small tattoo, 5cm x 5cm, will take around 4 – 6 sessions to remove and cost around £400 – £600 in total. View our pricing guide below.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT LASER TATTOO REMOVAL
How does laser tattoo removal work?
Laser tattoo removal works by selectively targeting pigment (ink) which is underneath the skin. We can selectively target the colour of your tattoo ink using our Picosecond Laser system.
The correct wavelength of laser shatters the coloured ink into smaller particles, which is then carried away by your body's own immune system. Over a period of weeks to months, the tattoo will gradually fade. The number of treatments will depend on many factors, including the density of your ink, ink colour, and your immune system.*
What technology does Adells Medi-Spa use for laser tattoo removal?
At Adells Medical-Spa & Clinic, we primarily use the Institute of Medical Aesthetics Picofractional Laser System. The Picofractional laser is one of the newer generation laser systems that uses unfiltered laser light to treat different colours of ink. While we have trialled many lasers including the Picosure (a good laser, but outdated) and even the new PicoWay, we prefer the IMA Picofractional for most procedures. *
