Laser Hair Removal works by directing a controlled laser beam to your chosen areas. Energy supplied by the laser is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicle, overwhelming and destroying it, which in turn permanently hinders new growth. As the follicles are disabled, pore size constricts
and you're left with smooth skin. As hair grows in cycles, and individual follicles are not necessarily operating in tandem, multiple sessions are required to disable all the hair follicles as they can only be destroyed during active growth cycles.

CAN YOU TREAT MY SKIN TYPE WITH SUPER LASER HAIR REMOVAL?
Thanks to our advanced technology and full spectrum lasers, we can perform laser hair removal on almost anyone, including those with darker skin tones, as long as you have suitable medical history. Darker Skin Tone Clients, still wishing to be treated with ND:YAG, although now dated, can opt for treatment with our IMA 1064 Laser System which utilises the ND:YAG wavelength.
WHICH LASER WAVELENGTH IS RIGHT FOR ME?
Our Super Laser system is one of the strongest and most efficient Laser Systems on the market. The degree of control we have over our Laser allows us to safely treat all clients irrespective of skin tone, hair colour and previous unsuccessful results with other laser machines. Our success rate is over 93%* *provided clients maintain their prescribed treatment schedule and adhere to all post procedure aftercare.
1064 ND:YAG laser systems, generally we would not recommend, as results are not permanent and a greater number of sessions are required to achieve hair reduction due to the weak energy output of the machine. 755 Alexandrite lasers are a better choice for all skin types when used by an experienced therapist however the best results are attainted with our Super Laser System and in the shortest time period.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 755 ALEXANDRITE AND 1064 ND:YAG?
755nm Alexandrite lasers have a much higher frequency compared to 1064nm ND:YAG resulting in increased energy output to target and destroy the hair follicle. However, care needs to be taken to ensure the laser does not engage with melanin present in darker skin tones causing burns and scarring. Whilst 755nm Alexandrite lasers can be used safely on darker skin tones, 1064nm ND:YAG lasers output less energy therefore tend to be much safer in less experienced hands. Experience of the laser technician treating you as a client is paramount in attaning desierable results.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN IPL HAIR REMOVAL & LASER HAIR REMOVAL?
IPL otherwise know as Intense Pulsed Light is one of the earliest technologies used to achieve permanent hair reduction. IPL uses scattered light to heat up and destroy hair follicles whereas Laser Hair Removal uses heat from a direct beam. IPL on average takes between 12-16 sessions to get the treated area completely free of hair compared to an average of; 6-10 sessions with Laser Hair Removal and 6-8 sessions with Super Laser Hair Removal. IPL can NOT be used to treat darker skin types.

AM I ELEGIBLE FOR LASER HAIR REMOVAL IF MY TREATMENT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL AT ANOTHER CLINIC?
Yes, almost 40% of our patients have undergone Laser Hair Removal or IPL at other clinics only to find their treatment did not work and hair growth is still present. Some patients even reported increased hair growth. At Adell’s Clinic & Medical-Spa, our laser systems are engineered to allow our clinicians a much greater degree of control. Thus we're able pinpoint the exact settings based on your individual skin tone, hair colour, hair thickness and hair density to achieve permanent hair removal. To put that into perspective, our Super Laser has over 800 setting variations compared to 12 of other industry leading lasers. Furthermore, our clinicians have a minimum of 10 years experienced in Laser Hair Removal and are able to manipulate our laser system (engineered for this specific reason) to deliver you permenant hair removal.
WHAT ARE THE RESULTS LIKE AFTER LASER HAIR REMOVAL?
Excellent! Once you complete your course of Laser Hair Removal you should experience permanent hair removal in the treated areas. Furthermore ingrown hairs are completey eradicated. Reduction in pore size revealing smoother skin. No more rashes, bumps or burns from traditional methods of hair removal such as shaving, plucking, waxing & electrolysis.
DO I NEED TO PREPARE PRIOR TO HAVING LASER HAIR REMOVAL?
For your first consultation and patch test, you should leave hair unshaven so that the practitioner can properly assess the hair. After that, we advise that you to shave before each treatment session. Difficult to reach areas such as back or buttocks, for example, can be shaved at the start of your session by our clinician.
